The following provisional programme has been arranged for 2021-2022. We will aim to keep this page updated as necessary, should covid restrictions be reimposed.

Monday  25 October 2021: Dr Anne Burberry, Jewish Studies, University of Bristol

“Ancient Jewish Covenantal Theology: Tales of Sexual Inadequacy and Miraculous Impotence”

(Anne is a replacement for Dr Lindsey Askin whose lecture last year was not able to take place)

 

Monday 29 November 2021: Dr Andreas Andreopoulos, University of Winchester

“The Art and Theology of Iconography: Current Trends and Future Directions”

(This is a revisit from 2 years ago, when Andreas gave a brilliant lecture on iconography as theology. This lecture will explore the topic further)

 

Monday 31 January 2022: Dr Godfrey Kesari, Southwater

“The Theology of the Atonement in an Interfaith Perspective”.

 

Monday 28 February 2022: Dr Hannah Strommen, University of Chichester

“Good Soldiers of Christ: The Bible and the British Far Right”.                                 

(This is a revisit – Hannah visited us 5 years ago)

 

Monday 28 March 2022: Dr Dan Inman, Chichester Cathedral

“Slavery, Race and Religion: The Church of England and Britain’s Atlantic Empire in the Eighteenth Century”

(Dan is the new Chancellor of Chichester Cathedral replacing Anthony Cane, who was a frequent visitor to WTS)
